“You Got To Lose” by George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers, off the Record Store Day Exclusive LP: George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers.
The debut album by George Thorogood and the Destroyers exploded onto the FM airwaves in 1977, bringing a dose of hard-driving roots reality back to rock radio, but few know that the popular album sounded very different when first recorded. Beginning his career as a solo act, Thorogood initially cut his first record backed only by drums and guitar. Eventually, bass tracks were overdubbed to give the album the sound it needed for radio airplay, and that's the version of the record we've all heard; until now. We are now pleased to release that first album as it was initially recorded. Includes previously unreleased track “Goodbye Baby,” a cover of the Elmore James song.
Available exclusively for Record Store Day: April 18, 2015.
